HOW DO I FIND A LAWYER?

(THE INFORMATION IN THIS SITE APPLIES TO GEORGIA ONLY)

Of course we hope you will consider our firm.  Our offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida, are the central transportation hubs of these two states, making it relatively easy for us to handle malpractice cases anywhere in Georgia or Florida.

Please understand that we must turn down far more cases than we accept.  If we turn your case down and you want another opinion, one of the best ways to find a lawyer is simply by word of mouth. If you have any friends or relatives who are lawyers, ask them for their advice on choosing a lawyer in this specialty. Yellow pages, advertising, and web pages can be helpful provided that the advertisements actually contain useful information about the attorneys and their backgrounds. Three good internet sites for consumers with searchable information about lawyers include:

Martindale Hubbell's  Legal Directory
Leading American Attorneys
FindLaw (Westlaw)

If you have any concerns about the first lawyer you interview, do not hesitate to interview others before deciding. Almost all malpractice lawyers offer free initial consultations.   If you interview more than one lawyer be careful not to choose a lawyer solely because he acted the most enthusiastic about the merits of your case or because he mentioned the highest amount of money you might be able to recover of all the lawyers you interviewed. Good lawyers will seldom give an opinion on the strength or value of a case until they have had a thorough opportunity to investigate the case and have the records reviewed by experts.
